ABUAD Engineering Students to Gain Free Aviation Training Under New United Nigeria Airlines Partnership

In a significant development for students in ABUAD’s College of Engineering, Afe Babalola University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with United Nigeria Airlines — establishing a structured, fully-funded pathway for students to gain hands-on industry training through SIWES.

What the Partnership Offers

Under the terms of the MoU, eligible ABUAD engineering students will participate annually in United Nigeria Airlines’ industry-driven training programmes, gaining practical skills in aviation maintenance and aerospace operations — at no cost to the student or university.

Why This Is a Game Changer

For many engineering students, the gap between classroom theory and industry practice remains one of the biggest challenges. Partnerships like this close that gap — giving students structured exposure to a live, operational industry environment before they even graduate.

A Partnership with Long-Term Vision

This MoU reflects the broader vision of both institutions to invest in the development of Nigeria’s next generation of engineering professionals. Students in the College of Engineering should look out for further announcements through official university channels.
